The Slip-On

I ordered a pair of brown slip ons in my regular size. After trying it on, I liked the styling and the comfort was decent, however the instep was a little too tight, so I wanted to try a half size up before just returning them. I reached out to Amberjack and they not only approved an exchange for a bigger size, but they also let me change the color. I mention this because it’s a pretty big deal because lot of big companies would allow you to exchange for a bigger size but not a different style/color. Fast forward a week or so, I tried on the new size and unfortunately the instep was just too rigid and I had to ultimately return it. The return process itself was also very smooth. I got my refund within hours of dropping it off at one of their approved locations (I dropped it off at a UPS).
The one drawback I’d mention is the comfort is not as much as advertised. In the ad they suggest these have sneaker like comfort which isn’t exactly the case (maybe a stiff sneaker). However, compared to most dress shoes they are very comfortable. I just wish the slip ons had a less stiff and more roomy instep and I would have kept it.
Tl;dr I decided to give a five star for the smooth customer service experience, good styling and decent confort.
What I didn’t like was they are advertised to be more comfortable than they actually are.

I expected comfortable shoes but WOW. These shoes feel better than the $200 sneakers I have. I wear them much longer than I have to because of the comfort. They also look great and are made with high quality leather. I’ll be purchasing more very soon!

Bought these for my husband, he spends most of his days standing on concrete floors but has really enjoyed the shoes.

The slip in loafer I purchased fit very well and feel comfortable especially when wearing the correct thickness of sock. Their recommendation to move up 1/2 size is good because my feet are on the wide side. I normally wear a 10.5, purchased the 11.0 and I'm very satisfied - thank goodness (this was a major worry for me). The cushioning is good - I've only worn 3 times in the 1st week since they arrived so I can't tell how these shoes will hold up after one to three months, but they seem to be well constructed and I'm feeling positive. My feet also run very hot and sweaty as the day wears on - they aren't as breathable as an athletic sneaker (such as my Allbirds) but that's why I purchased the slip-on. They look great and add to my professional appearance at work. I will definitely consider purchasing another color (black) once I've worn these for a few months to see the performance versus the price of the shoe. If it holds up and performs, I will definitely consider a 2nd or 3rd pair. Time will tell. I'm glad I took the plunge and purchased. High quality and performance are critically important to me.
