Great quality, you can tell immediatly that these boots will be your favorite for a long time. Super comfortable, it only took one day to "break" them and on the second day they felt awesome. They aren't cheap so I took a long time deciding whether to get them or not, but at least now I don't regret it. If they still look and feel fine in a few months I think I'll be getting more amberjack shoes

Not a review guy but here we are. Currently an airline pilot and have used these black Chelsea boots every trip for work over the last year and a half. I'll start off by saying these are extremely comfortable from the start and only got more comfortable as they got broken in. I go through metal detectors on half of my work days and while some of my other lucky coworkers have to take their shoes off, I can breeze right through with these. These shoes have walked hundreds of miles, been abused during pre/post flight walkarounds in rain, snow, and ice while covered in road salt, yet after all of that, they've held up pretty well.

Unfortunately, after hundreds of days of wearing them, and hundreds to 1000+ miles walked, the seams started to tear where that upper panel meets that side panel. Happened on both pairs. Yet here is where the customer service comes into play. These shoes went through hell and back and if I had cared enough to rate them, I would've given them 5 stars regardless and was prepared to buy a new pair. However, I saw that they have a unique 2 year warranty for manufacturing defects (stitching/seams) so I emailed them. Despite emailing them on a Saturday afternoon, their customer support team gave a personalized response a minute later and passed it on to their warranty team. Several hours later, the warranty team reached out asking for a couple more pieces of information and after responding to them on Sunday, they got back to me 13 minutes later with a confirmation that they'll send me a new pair for free while consistently apologizing for the stitching problem.

So to sum it up, the shoes are great, are pretty well made, very comfortable, TSA friendly, and are backed by an excellent warranty with a hyper-responsive and friendly customer service team. I've recommended these shoes to other pilots I talk to and will continue to now with an even stronger conviction.

I recently bought a pair of shoes from amberjack that were very comfortable for the arthritis in my feet. I decided to take a chance and buy the Chelsea boot for every day wear.They were very hard to slide on, but once they are on my feet they are so comfortable that my wife and I walked a three mile path on the highest mountain in Alabama.I would not have been able to have done this in any of my other shoes. Now I'm getting rid of the piles of shoes that I've accumulated trying to make my feet happy.amberjack will be my go to shoe from now on.

I'm an older teacher who is in his feet all day. I need a good comfortable pair of boots that look good. Theae are them. True to size, good looking, and my feet amd ankles feel fine at the end of the day. I'm grateful I gave Amberjack a shot.
