Our A-grade full grain leather comes from one of the best tanneries in the world, who also happen to be our business partner; that means you get incredible quality at a price you won’t find anywhere else. The shoes are then made by masters in Portugal who have decades of experience but also aren’t afraid to get a little futuristic with it. This is a totally different type of shoe.

Luxury For Less

Designed in Brooklyn, NY and produced in one of Portugal’s top factories, The Original is made with the highest quality materials, including full-grain leather, sheepskin lining, and a custom TPU outsole. Similarly made shoes cost 2-3x more.

Early to Tell - But Good Feel

These shoes look pretty good and feel good too. I did need to wear a band-aid on one heel the first day I wore them because my heel was irritated a bit by the back of the shoe during the breaking in period, but was totally fine next day. The shoes look awesome and two weeks into wearing them they feel pretty good and my feet do not get sore, which working in an office environment is great. My only real issues so far are the tanning agent/coloring rubbing off on my socks in the toe area and the overall price point. At close to $200 these are fairly expensive relative to other similarly marketed sneaker/dress crossover shoes so I’m curious to see how they hold up long term and if the materials age well. I’m happy with my purchase so far.

Wider Is Much Better

I got a pair over Christmas in the normal width, and unfortunately they were killing the outside of my feet. The wide version are much better (though could even still go slightly wider IMHO). In general I’m very happy with them, but I do wish Amberjack would get rid of that silly loop on the back, the dotted holes on the front, and their brand name on the back, all of which cheapen what would otherwise pass for dressier shoes too. But I can’t complain too much: They’re still dressier than anything else that’s this cushioned. I hope they hold up for years to come.

The new shoes are really nice as I wore them for the first time over the weekend to a dinner party.

Great right out of the box

I've worn the shoes twice, and they are very comfortable and appear to be high quality. The equally important point will be how well they hold up as they age.
