The Original

I bought my first pair of Amberjacks prior to an upcoming conference, where I knew I had to do a lot of walking. I received them in the mail shortly before nmy departure, and had no time to break them in. They literally came right out of the box and into my suitcase. I wore them three days straight for 12+ hours and never once felt pain or discomfort. Truly the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn. Looking forward to buying another pair.

I'm very happy with these shoes. They look great and feel good. They are more comfortable than any other dress shoe I've owned. But they're not as comfortable as my everyday shoes, which are an "Oxford Casual Hiking Shoe" from another manufacturer. This distinction is important to me because I have a problem with one of my feet that causes pain if my shoes don't provide exactly the type of support my foot needs. This isn't a criticism of the Amberjack shoes. It's just an explanation of why the distinction between "better" and "best" is so important to me.

These shoes are slightly narrow. I normally wear a men's size 11. On rare occasions I'll wear an 11 wide. With the Amberjack size 11, my feet feel slightly pinched in width. I've only worn the shoes for 3 days. My hope is that they'll eventually stretch to give my feet a little more room.

I like the shoes. They look nice and have quality materials. I absolutely HATE the insoles though! After wearing them all day my heels hurt and my back hurts. And i never get back pain. Im going to try different insoles and see what happens.

I put these on and expected to have to break them in. Nope! They were comfortable beyond my other broken in shoes from go! They are pricey, but man, I feel like you get what you pay for and these shoes have not disappointed. I will be buying more in the future - dress shoes, boots and others. I see it as an investment in my feet which have been beaten up over the years by inferior footwear. Didn’t know they were inferior until I wore these. Now, I have a good pair of walking shoes and I don’t think they do tennis shoes yet, but for casual Fridays and date nights to dress shoes worn even more often, I can’t wait to get more! Awesomeness on your feet and in looks!

Good shoes but not as good as testimonials make you think they will be. Have worn them 3 different days longest being 12 hours and not on my feet the entire time. Insoles seem ok but the tongue and upper material very uncomfortable around top of my foot. Ordered 8 wide and still a little snug. Hopefully they will break in and soften up.
