The Cap-Toe

I have been a wedding videographer for the past seven years and have always tried to find a shoe that balanced professionalism and comfortability but could never find anything that worked how I envisioned. Enter: Amberjack! No more sore feet after ten hour days on my feet! They look great and feel better, what more could I ask for?

I have many pairs of dress shoes, these are the most comfortable dress shoes I now own.
I will buy again.

Did a Google search on the "most comfortable dress shoes for men" and Amberjack consistently ranked #1 on a few websites that was listed in my search. Okay, this has to mean something! I did more research on Amberjack, read the reviews, and even watched Youtuber vids and finally pulled the trigger. Well....

...believe the hype! These shoes are indeed the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn. And my feet didn't even hurt after wearing them for 8 hours straight and I was on my feet 95% of the night as the emcee for an event.

Packaging and presentation - I received my pair in the actual shoebox (the shoebox wasn't packed in another box). The branding, the feel of the box, set the tone of what I was about to experience. It even comes with a duster bag, which elevates the branding because these types of bags usually only come with premium luxury purchases.

Material - The uppers came nice and polished, and felt like high quality leather. The interior lining of the shoe is also leather (or maybe synthetic leather?), and there are perforations to allow for breathability. You can also feel the padding along the collar, which is great for support and stability. The padding also helps since the bottom of my ankle tends to rub against the top of the collar, but I didn't feel any of that wearing this shoe. One of the standouts of the shoe is the padded tongue, which I've never witnessed when it comes to dress shoes. All the dress shoes I've owned have really thin tongues, but this Amberjack pair was well padded and felt great against the top of my foot when it was on. For me, this helped with the comfort of the shoe because not only was my foot taken care of from the bottom (which I'll get to in a sec), but from the top of my foot as well. This attention to comfort was intentional, and something I really appreciated.

The insoles are phenomenal - first off, they were yellow with "amberjack" printed on them in black. They're thick at the heel, and made with a polyurethane type material that's sturdy but designed to mold to your foot when heated for added arch support. After a few hours of wearing the shoes, they molded nicely to my foot without feeling too soft. As someone who's had plantar fasciitis, arch support is of extreme importance and the insoles took care of my feet. To add to the cushion of these insoles, if you remove them from the shoe, you can see there's a thin layer of foam material that consists of the midsole.

Outsole/heel - The outsole looks to be made of a rubber composite. The traction was great and I never felt at any time that I would slip in my shoes.

Esthetic - I mean, it's a black dress shoe that you can wear for a formal occasion (like I did). The shine and the detail on the shoe was noticeable, and is the perfect compliment to a great suit.

Overall, this shoe felt amazing to wear. After 8 hours of being on my feet, although my feet felt fatigued, they didn't HURT and they felt great. Highly recommend!!!

Second pair for work. Just wish they could make them look more dressy while maintaining the insanely comfortable sole. Perhaps not such a drastic separation from the sole color on the browns. The black on black cap toe is nice looking as I described. Less than a day to break in. My first pair show almost no signs of sole wear and I wear them daily in a high end high traffic hotel. They do feel like perfectly broke in baseball glove.

This is the most comfortable dress shoe I’ve ever owned.
