The Loafer

I like these shoes! I Bought them for travel to Europe. I plan on wearing on the plane and day walking. Customer service was great! I needed a different size the exchange was very easy!

I have worn the same style of shoe from the same brand for the last ten years. In that time I had 3 pairs of black and two pairs of brown. I got married in those shoes. Honestly, there is nothing wrong with those "other" shoes, I just wanted to try something new. I did my research and found that Amberjack was rated as the most comfortable shoe on several websites and blogs, so I decided to give them a try.

I ordered my usual size, and when they came, they were too big. F--k. I hate returns, so I usually just eat it. My normal size is 13, and most shoe makers go right from 12 to 13, so usually, the next size down is too small. Luckily for me, Amberjack makes them in 12.5. I reached out to Amberjack and they showed me where to go on their website to start an exchange. It was an amazingly easy process. I completed the online part, and my wife dropped off the shoes that were too big. They approved the exchange at the site where she dropped off the shoes and the new ones were sent immediately. They didn't even wait for the original shoes to arrive. I had my new shoes within a week of when the originals were delivered. That was fast.

When I first put them on, they were a little snug, but 30 years ago I sold shoes at Nordstrom, so I knew that good shoes should be a little snug at first. By the end of the first day, they felt better. By the end of the second day, they felt amazing. I'm a week into wearing them and I love them more and more each day.

I won't say anything bad about my old shoes. Honestly, I probably would have been fine with yet another pair of the same old shoes, but I'm glad I took a chance and tried something new. When it's time to replace the brown ones, I'll probably grab another pair of Amberjacks. It won't be just because of how much I like the shoes, but also because of how amazing the service and exchange process was.
